A federal bank chariman speech can be as exciting as when the prophets of old spoke the Word of God unto the Israelites. At least it can feel that way if you are passionate about trading forex.

Expecting positive words from the chief, I placed a short at 2.0160. I am out of the market with 10 pips profit.

We have the president of the US speaking later…

I wonder if he’ll say something about Iraq strategy that affects sentiment on the dollar. I find that president speeches often result in emotional trading…lets see what happens…
