One of the biggest problems with Forex, more than with any other type of investing, is that people DO expect something for nothing.
But, we only have the marketing folks to thank for that.
Ultimately, forex is a great market but it takes the kind of patience and intelligence you mention.

Thanks Wu Tang Clan for your input. I couldn't agree with you any more than that. Unfortunately though there is a lot of stuff that doesn't "work". In my own experience it is not so much that it doesn't work, it's that it doesn't work in the way the retail trader especially a forex newbie, wants it to work and therefore it doesn't help you to get rich quick like everything else, but with patient, intelligent and diligent application, you can take what does work and develop your own system and strategy for actually making some money here.

Anyone who advertises getting something for nothing, especially in the fields of speculative markets makes me wonder about their inner scruples.

I could be wrong too, but anything that's worth having never comes easy in life and yes - there is a tradeoff.

I paid a hefty price for my knowledge. I hefty, permanent life-altering price.
